Competing with our Paramedic for "Most Psychotic Class", flame-retardant clothing and a "helmet with attitude" were key to Bobo's original concept for our napalm loving class of Q3F. Bobo also created the model before handing over to Imperator and Fluffy_gimp for the final skin. Our only change during the development of the concept has been his jacket; originally black, we changed it to a more military feel to fit the overall theme of the Beta 2.

Soldier

Advanced combat armour that looked cool, while providing the highest level of protection, was one of Bobotheseal's main aims when creating the original concept for this model. As the second toughest class in the game we felt it was important to give him a lot of character, with a definite lean towards meanness :). We think Mox has achieved this with his first ever complete player-model skin.

Sniper

Our very own Lead Artist Fluffy_gIMp’s latest work for Q3F, the Sniper skin is clearly based the original concept art by Bobotheseal, but also takes inspiration from John Woo’s oriental gun-chic and American ‘SWAT’ style fatigues. The skin is wrapped around Hoffa’s third player model, who’s very presence of character insists; you do not EVER want to be in the crosshairs of this guy.

Minigunner

Representing our original concept art for the Minigunner faithfully was always going to be tough as the detail called for far more polygons that we could afford. It is because of this that Imperator has taken a little artistic license while using Bobotheseal’s concept as a reference. With Naz’s player model as a base, we’re happy that Imperator has maintained the post-contemporary military feel that we were looking for, while ensuring that nobody could doubt that this is the biggest, baddest class in Q3F!

Recon

With the concept by Bobotheseal, the model by Hoffa and the skin by Nightwolf, the Recon is certainly a player class that everyone seems to have had some involvement in. The goal of our concept was to portray the fastest guy in Q3F, and so his frame is weighted in the legs, which are also equipped with Power-Boots. Of course he's only lightly armoured, but we've ensured his important bits are well protected :) He also totes a radar-scanner, two ranged firearms, two types of grenades and cool-looking shades :)

Paramedic

When we set about the original concept for the Paramedic, the main goal was to portray that sense of total-lunacy that - let's face it - any member of the medical profession requires if he’s to chase the enemy around while trying to infect them with diseases :). That’s exactly the inspiration our skinners Nightwolf and Fluffy_gIMp had while working on this player model by Bobotheseal.

Grenadier

Skinned by our lead artist Fluffy_gIMp (based on Hoffa’s third player model for Q3F), the new Grenadier draws it’s influence directly from the original Q3F skin that we received so much positive feedback about. Being able to easily identify classes while playing Q3F is one of our main goals with the new player models, and we think Fluffy has captured that perfectly with this highly detailed skin.

Agent

When Dimitrius created the original player model for the Agent, he implemented a purposely-futuristic theme to account for his incredibly advanced abilities. Now fully skinned, it’s easier to appreciate the technology that an Agent must be equipped with to turn invisible and morph in to other player sizes and shapes. This is the only model of the complete set to detract slightly from the military theme that our Paramedic and Grenadier have set.
